Fatal Crash on Highway 166

On Monday morning, a 25-year-old man from Bakersfield died in a crash on Highway 166 near Santa Maria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened just west of Rockfront Ranch. Apparently, the man was traveling westbound on Highway 166 when he began to pass a semi truck on a straight stretch of road.

As he drove on the south shoulder of the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle. He overcorrected and veered across both lanes of Highway 166. The car then went down an embankment and rolled over beside a riverbed. Although first responders were swiftly on the scene, the driver did not survive his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. sends their deepest condolences to his loved ones
