Motorcycle Rider Injured in Santa Maria

On Friday afternoon, a motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Santa Maria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened on West Main Street near Oakley Avenue just after 3:30 p.m. For currently unknown reasons, the motorcycle and a pickup truck collided in the roadway. Very few details have been released about this motorcycle crash, but we do know that the rider was transported to Santa Maria Public Airport to be airlifted by a helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

There has been no word on the cause of the crash, which is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities. Additionally, no information has been released on the motorcycle rider’s current condition or the extent of injuries involved.
