Last Friday, Google’s self-driving car crashed into an SUV in Mountain View, CA. Google claims that the accident was due to the SUV running a red light. Both cars were damaged, and the Google SUV was badly dented. The Google driver was taken to hospital with a sore neck. According to ABC 7 News, the self-driving car was not at fault in this incident. The Mountain View police are investigating the crash further. Google did admit to being involved in eleven minor crashes with the self-driving car over the six-year testing period. However, Google did admit, “Not once was the self-driving car the cause of the accident.”
