On Christmas Day, a group of motorcycle riders was riding together in Arroyo Grande and two riders crashed into one another. One rider was confirmed dead. “A group of four riders was westbound on Los Berros at about 55 mph when the victim suddenly accelerated and slammed into the back of the lead motorcyclist, identified as Richard Tafolla, 27, of Santa Maria”, Noozhawk.

The riders lost control of their bikes, and Tafolla was thrown from his motorcycle and rolled on the roadway resulting in a leg injury. The other rider was ejected from his bike after slamming into a metal fence post. The other rider was declared dead at the scene due to his major head and chest injuries. The rider’s name has yet to be announced as the authorities are investigating the accident further.
