An insurance comparison service, QuoteWizard, recently ranked 75 major cities across the nation on driver violations. They found that San Diego has the 5th worst drivers in the country. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the rankings were based on factors including crashes, speeding tickets, DUI’s and other citations. Other cities in California made the top 10 list, with Sacramento coming in at number one for worst drivers in the U.S.

With the Fourth of July holiday weekend on the horizon, safety advocates are calling on drivers in San Diego, all over California and across the nation to engage in safe driving behaviors this weekend and all year round. Law enforcement officers will also be out in full force for the holiday weekend looking for potentially drunk or distracted drivers.
