Harris Personal Injury Lawyers | 2017 Trial Attorney of the Year: John Clayton

Harris Personal Injury Lawyers is proud to announce Johnny Clayton as the winner of the firm’s 2017 Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. Trial Lawyer of Year Award.  Each year this award is presented to the attorney with the most remarkable trial in the firm.  Mr. Clayton tried the case with managing attorney, Ryan Harris, and credits his paralegal, Alexandra LeClair, for her invaluable help preparing the case for trial.

Mr. Clayton received the honor of Trial Lawyer of the Year for his extraordinary efforts and perseverance during a seven-day trial in North County San Diego titled Vaughn v. Abikhalil.  The North County jury awarded our injured client $300,000 after she was rear-ended by the by the driver in Vista, California. Prior to trial, the insurance defense attorney did not offer any money to resolve the case.

While the accident was characterized as being a minor impact without much damage to our client, Mr. Clayton fought in order for his client to receive justice. Our client sustained permanent cervical injuries and ultimately underwent a fusion surgery. The surgery was a great success and she made a complete recovery as a result.  After several hours of deliberation, the jury awarded our injured client $150,000 in for her medical expenses and $150,000 for her pain and suffering for the year and a half following the collision.

Congratulations to Mr. Clayton for achieving justice against the insurance company.
