An Amtrak train struck the side of a minivan in Newark on Sunday. The Amtrak train was traveling from San Jose to Sacramento and crashed directly into a minivan around 8:30 a.m. at the Cedar Boulevard and St. Isabel Avenue intersection. A witness told CBS San Francisco, “he looked up when he heard the train coming and saw the red crossing-lights flashing but claimed the warning bell wasn’t ringing and the arms never came down.” The woman in the minivan suffered major injuries and was immediately taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for the treatment of her injuries. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers have the woman in our prayers in hopes of a full recovery.
