Last week, one driver was arrested at a DUI checkpoint in Chula Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the checkpoint was held on Friday night on the 300 block of L Street. Apparently, more than 1,221 vehicles went through the checkpoint. Of those vehicles, 403 were screened, and three drivers took field sobriety tests.

There were 13 citations issued for unlicensed driving or driving on a suspended license. At least three vehicles were impounded, and seven other citations were issued during the checkpoint. This was just one of the checkpoints being held in Chula Vista during the busy holiday season. Motorists can expect another CVPD DUI checkpoint to be conducted sometime in December.
