On Sunday morning, an elderly driver was injured in a rollover crash in the downtown Solvang area. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened on Mission Drive at Fourth Place, sometime around 9:00 a.m. Very few details have been released about this apparent one-vehicle wreck, but we do know that a woman’s vehicle struck a parked car and rolled over in the roadway.

First responders rushed to the scene, where the 88-year-old woman was trapped inside of the vehicle. First responders were able to extricate her from the vehicle’s hatchback. She was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. There has been no word on her current condition, and the cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
