On Friday morning, there was a fatal multi-car crash on Highway 46 in Cholame. According to KSBY News Channel Six, the wreck happened about a quarter-mile west of the intersection with Highway 41. There were four cars involved in this crash, which happened just before 6:00 a.m. Very few details have been released, but we do know that two people were killed in the crash, and there were at least nine additional injuries. Initial reports indicate that a Chevy Cruze drifted into a westbound lane and hit and Nissan Versa head on. An additional head-on collision happened after the first one. There has been no word on the cause of these crashes, and the incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
