On Thursday morning, there was a fatal semi truck crash on State Route 76 in the Pauma Valley area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 8:00 a.m. Very little information has been released about this fatal truck crash, but initial reports indicate that the vehicle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the wreck. Witnesses reported that the truck appeared to have lost its brakes before crashing and overturning beside the roadway.

First responders rushed to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead. Another occupant was airlifted to a hospital for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition. This truck crash is still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
