A fatal collision caused the Interstate 15 to shut down on Tuesday in Escondido. The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the Via Rancho Parkway exit. According to ABC 10 News, an older man collided directly into a tractor-trailer and then another second semi-truck. Both semi-truck drivers did not suffer any injuries, however, the man in vehicle was immediately taken to Palomar Hospital and succumbed to his injuries.
