Over the weekend, there was a head-on injury crash on Highway 154 near Santa Barbara. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened just west of San Antonio Creek Road at about 1:30 a.m. Very few details about this crash have been released, but we do know that two sedans were involved, and rescue efforts involved extensive extrication on one of the vehicles.

First responders rushed to the scene, where three people were critically injured. Two of them had to be extricated from one of the vehicles. The other vehicle went up in flames. Thankfully, the occupant was able to escape the wreckage. All three people were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of injuries, but there has been no word on anybody’s current condition. The cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
