On Sunday afternoon, an elderly person was injured in a crash involving an Amtrak train. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened near Finney Street at about 3:00 p.m. Very few details about the collision have been released, but we do know that the elderly motorist’s car sustained significant front-end damage.

First responders and crews rushed to the scene. The elderly motorist reportedly suffered minor injuries in the crash, but there has been no word on his current condition or the full extent of injuries involved. The wreck also caused a delay for the northbound Amtrak passenger train. The cause of this crash could still be under investigation with law enforcement officials.
