On Monday, at least nine people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in National City. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near Civic Center Drive at about 6:45 p.m. Very little information about this crash has been released, but we do know that the wreckage burst into flames and several people suffered from burn injuries. Initial reports indicate that a Ford F-150 stalled in the roadway before an oncoming SUV hit it.

The SUV became engulfed in flames, and an additional two vehicles also became involved in the collision. At least nine people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Four of them, including a child, sustained burn injuries from the SUV fire. This crash could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
