A woman was run over and trapped by a Muni bus on one of San Francisco’s busiest intersections. The incident occurred on 3rd and Market Streets around 7 p.m. The woman was running across the street and disregarded the oncoming traffic. NBC Bay area claimed this intersection has a history of problems and that there are accidents nearly every night. A witness stated, “Many times, I would hear screeching, and you look out the window, and I always say if I see them limping to the corner, they probably ran the red light.” Bystanders helped free the woman from beneath the bus. This accident caused a three-hour street closure. The woman will likely survive, although both of her legs are crushed.
