A woman was airlifted after getting in a head-on collision with a semi-truck in New Cuyama on Thursday afternoon. This tragic accident occurred on Highway 166 west of New Cuyama. When emergency crews arrived on the scene, they reported the female driver of the sedan, reportedly a Honda Civic had to be extracted from the vehicle, but the big-rig driver was not injured. The Sherriff’s Department, Santa Barbara County Fire Department, and the California Highway Patrol rushed to the accident to assist. Luckily, the big rig that hit her did not spill 9,000 gallons of crude oil that it had on board.  The California Highway Patrol are investigating the accident. The extent of the woman’s injuries has yet to be reported. The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers have the woman in our prayers in hopes she is okay and can recover quickly.
