On Monday afternoon, a pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle in Pacific Beach. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened at about 1:18 p.m. near the intersection of Mission Bay Drive and Garnet Avenue. Very little information has been released about this crash, but witness reports indicate that a silver BMW was traveling very fast before it struck the 67-year-old pedestrian in a raised median.

The car continued into the intersection, hit another vehicle and overturned in the Enterprise Rental lot. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries including injuries to the head, internal injuries, and a broken pelvis. At this time, there has been no word on that person’s current condition, and this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
