Pedestrians Injured in Lompoc

On Monday night, two men were seriously injured after being struck by a car in the Mission Hills area, near Lompoc. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident occurred sometime after 6:30 p.m., in the 1600 block of Calle Lindero. Apparently, the two men were working on a parked vehicle when they were hit by another car.

One of the injured victims had to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of injuries. The other victim was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center. At this time, there’s no information on the extent of injuries involved or their current conditions. Also, there’s no word on whether or not the driver was cited or why the vehicle struck them.
