Last week, a vehicle collided with a San Diego Unified School District bus and is severely injured. This accident occurred mid-afternoon at the Waring Road and Galewood Street intersection of Allied Gardens. “A 65-year-old man was driving a 2004 Cadillac STS when he lost control and veered to the right, hitting an embankment. He then rear-ended a 2008 Toyota Corolla before veering left, crossing a center median and hitting the bus. No children were on board the bus”, Police said. The bus driver and the Corolla driver were physically okay after the accident. The Cadillac driver was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he was confirmed to be in “grave condition” He suffered fractures of his neck and leg, and internal bleeding. Thankfully the bus was not filled with children.
