Semi Truck Crash on Highway 101

On Friday morning, two semi trucks were involved in a multi car crash on Highway 101 in Carpinteria. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened sometime after 7:00 a.m., near the off ramp for Santa Claus Lane. Very few details have been released about this crash, but we do know that one of the big rigs jack-knifed in the roadway.

All northbound lanes of Highway 101 were blocked as crews worked the scene. At this time, we don’t know who caused the crash, exactly how many vehicles were involved or if anybody was injured. First responders and crews were on the scene, and they had at least one lane reopened just after 7:35 a.m.
