On Tuesday, there was a semi truck crash on Interstate 15 at Highway 79. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened sometime after 3:00 p.m. Very few details have been released, but we do know that a tractor-trailer rolled over in the roadway. Witness reports indicate that the rainy and windy weather may have been factors in the crash. The large truck reportedly rolled over in the strong winds of the afternoon storm.

A portion of the roadway had to be closed as first responders and crews worked the scene. The roadway wasn’t fully reopened until about 5:00 p.m. In the area of this big rig crash, two large eucalyptus trees were also uprooted in the rainstorm and pushed into the roadway. There has been no word on whether or not anybody was injured in either incident.
