Slippery Roadway Conditions in San Diego

On Monday afternoon, a street-sweeping truck spilled oil on the 3600 block of 54th Street in San Diego. According to Fox Channel Five News, a hydraulic valve on the truck burst which caused the oil to leak. Before crews were on the scene to clean up the mess, cars were sliding dangerously all over the roadway. One car reportedly crashed into a median.

The incident caused a traffic jam, and traffic wasn’t back to normal until around 5:00 p.m. Drivers were asked to avoid the area, while crews cleaned up the spill using sand. No information was released on property damage or injuries involved with this slippery situation.
