On Tuesday morning, a tow truck driver was struck and injured on State Route 125 in Spring Valley. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened near the Jamacha Road exit at about 3:20 a.m. Very little information has been released about this incident, but we do know that the tow truck driver was on the shoulder of the southbound lane of SR-125 assisting a disabled motorist, when he was struck by a Chrysler sedan.

He was reportedly pinned against his truck and then thrown into the roadway. He was rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Chrysler did remain on the scene. There has been no word on the tow truck driver’s condition, and this crash is still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
