On Sunday night in San Jose two separate car crashes led to two fatalities.  Mercury News stated that the first incident was a hit-and-run. Police officers found a suffering body on Tully Road and East Capitol Expressway. “The male pedestrian was suffering from serious injuries and no vehicle in sight.” This 28-year-old, hit-and-run victim, was determined and pronounced as dead at the scene. The driver at fault was identified and arrested.

The second fatality happened hours later near Silver Creek Valley Road and Farnsworth Drive. A vehicle was reported on fire after crashing into the median. The driver was found in the vehicle and was pronounced dead. Mercury news claimed, “After the fire was extinguished, police and firefighters found a single body inside, and determined that the car hit a tree in the median and caught fire.” Apparently, these two tragic deaths were the city’s 32nd and 33rd traffic fatality for the year.
