Two Car Injury Crash Near Lompoc
On Monday afternoon, two people were injured in a collision near Lompoc. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the wreck happened sometime before 4:30 p.m. on Harris Grade Road, near the intersection of Purisima Road and Highway 1. Very few details about the crash have been released, but we do know that at least one of the drivers had to extricated from the wreckage.
One of the drivers was rushed to Lompoc Valley Medical Center for treatment of minor to moderate injuries, and the other driver had to be airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Animal control was also on the scene due to a dog being in one of the cars. The cause of this crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
