Earlier this week, two cyclists were struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver in Rancho Cucamonga. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the collision happened at around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday night near Foothill Boulevard and Etiwanda Avenue. The two cyclists were a 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman from Upland. They were reportedly in the bike lane, when the eastbound driver went into the bicycle lane to pass traffic and struck them.   

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, and the man was rushed to a local hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. The 23-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, but no additional details have been released.
