Over the weekend, two women were killed and two children were injured in a rollover crash in Escondido. The women died after losing control of their Nissan Xterra in the rainy weather. These women were on the Great Southern Overland Stage Route.

Patch stated, the driver was on and off the roadway, through standing rainwater on the right shoulder, when she lost control of the Xterra, which traveled up a dirt berm and overturned. The driver’s two children were in the car as well. The driver was ejected from the car and was confirmed dead at the scene. The woman passenger was also pronounced dead from her injuries. The driver’s two children suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Rady’s Children Hospital.
