On Tuesday evening, a driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after her vehicle crashed into a San Diego Police Department patrol car on Interstate 5. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on northbound I-5, just north of Palm Avenue, in the Palm City area. Very little information has been released about this crash, but we do know that a SDPD patrol car was parked on the shoulder of the roadway when the vehicle clipped it from behind.

Initial reports indicate that the woman’s vehicle spun out of control and then crashed into a railing on the shoulder. The driver was given a field sobriety test on the scene and taken into custody. This incident could still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
