On Monday morning, a person was killed and another injured when their truck rolled over on Highway 227 in southern San Luis Obispo County. The incident occurred around 11:52 am near Cold Canyon Landfill, according to The San Luis Obispo Tribune. A 2006 Chevrolet pickup was headed southbound on the highway when it veered off the road, colliding with a tree and fencing as it rolled down an embankment.  

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female passenger suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. At the time of the report, the investigation was ongoing.
