During Labor Day weekend, law enforcement officers made 11 arrests related to street takeovers in San Diego. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the National City Police Department, and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) ran a joint operation to crack down on illegal street takeovers. They made 11 arrests, wrote 51 citations and impounded 17 cars. Additionally, they also detained four teens who were at takeovers after curfew. 

Prior to the events, police officers learned of possible street takeovers being planned at Recho Road and Carroll Road, Juniper Park Land and Sorrento Valley Boulevard, Flanders Court and Flanders Drive, Via Del Norte and La Jolla Boulevard and a few other intersections in the Spring Valley area. Anybody with information on these or upcoming street takeovers are being asked to contact the SDPD or Crime Stoppers.
