On Tuesday night, three people were injured following a two-car crash in Mead Valley. According to CBS News, the collision occurred around 10:00 pm near the Brown and Oakwood Street intersection. Oakwood Street contains posted stop signs, but Brown Street is a through street. A Ford Explorer SUV driven by a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy was traveling northbound on Brown when a Toyota Camry approached driving eastbound on Oakwood. The vehicles collided in the intersection, with the Camry hitting the SUV’s passenger side.  

The deputy sustained minor injuries while the two occupants of the Camry suffered moderate to major injuries. At the time of the report, the collision remained under investigation. Alcohol was not believed to play a role in the incident.
