On Tuesday night, two people were killed and four others critically injured in a two-car crash in Playa del Rey. According to ABC 7 and NBC Los Angeles, the incident occurred around 8:00 pm near Dockweiler State Beach in the 8800 block of Vista Del Mar. A Honda Accord carrying four juveniles and a Tesla SUV carrying a woman and two other juveniles were involved in the crash. The teen driver of the Honda died at the scene, and one of its teenage passengers died en route to the hospital. All occupants of the Tesla were also taken to the hospital.  

At the time of the report, details about what led to the crash were not available. Witnesses said that one of the drivers may have passed out, causing them to crash into oncoming traffic.
