2 Pedestrians Injured After Car Strikes Them in San Diego
On Wednesday evening, two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in Rancho Peñasquitos. According to FOX 5 San Diego, the incident occurred around 5:50 pm in the 8500 block of Rumex Lane. A woman driving a 2015 Honda Fit made a turn onto westbound Park Village Road and hit two women in a crosswalk. The women were walking from north to south at the time of the collision.
One woman sustained life-threatening injuries, including multiple brain bleeds, bilateral lung contusions, and multiple left rib fractures. The other victim suffered a minor brain bleed and various leg injuries but is expected to recover. The driver was uninjured. DUI did not play a role in the incident, stated police.
