On Sunday morning, three people were left injured after a man stole and crashed a police SUV in downtown Los Angeles. According to NBC News, the incident happened around 3:30 am, when an officer working security detail on 12th street was attacked by a man who jumped into her patrol SUV and drove away. The officer was dragged by the moving SUV and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The man crashed into scooters, a bike rack, and several cars as he was chased before abandoning the SUV near the streets of 8th and Figueroa. He was apprehended a short time later.   

Two other people were injured during the incident, but their injuries were also not life-threatening, stated ABC 7. All three victims were transported to a hospital. Nearby streets were closed during the police investigation.
