On Sunday evening, three people were seriously injured in a suspected DUI collision along Mission Bay Drive. According to FOX 5 San Diego, the incident took place around 6:30 pm near the northbound I-5 off-ramp to Mission Bay Drive. A 2022 Chevrolet Malibu hit a 2014 Toyota Prius, causing life-threatening injuries to one of the Prius’ passengers. The driver of the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries while the Prius driver complained of pain. All three individuals were taken to the hospital.  

The Chevrolet driver showed “objective symptoms for DUI drugs.” At the time of the report, it was unclear if he had been detained on suspicion of DUI charges.
