Over the weekend, a hit-and-run bicyclist struck and injured an elderly woman in the Sierra Madre area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened at about 10:00 a.m.on Saturday morning. Apparently, the elderly woman was walking near the intersection of North Baldwin Avenue and Highland Avenue, when she was struck by a cyclist riding past her. 

The cyclist fled the scene, and didn’t stop to render aid or even check on the injured elderly pedestrian. The elderly woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. At the time of the report, there was no word on her current condition. Additionally, no information has been released on whether or not authorities have found the hit-and-run bicycle rider.
