On Sunday morning, a bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in San Jose. The collision took place around 9:15 am near Cinderella Lane and South Jackson Avenue, according to CBS News. The bicyclist was traveling north on Jackson and drifted into southbound lanes, where he was hit by a 2019 Chevy Silverado pickup. The cyclist sustained critical injuries and was taken to the hospital, where his condition initially stabilized. However, authorities confirmed on Monday that the cyclist died about two hours later.   

The vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. This incident was San Jose’s 32nd traffic death this year.
