Earlier this week, a car veered off the roadway and crashed into a home in Otay Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Monday morning at about 10:45 a.m. Apparently, a woman was trying to turn from northbound Piccard Avenue to Palm Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle. The car left the roadway and crashed into a home on the 3800 block of Palm Avenue.

First responders rushed to the scene, where thankfully, nobody was home at the time of the crash. The driver was injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Additionally, the wreck severed gas and electrical lines in the house, and the residents were going to be displaced until those issues could be repaired.
