Last week, a vehicle ended up leaning vertically against a tree after a crash on State Route 94 in La Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened early Friday morning, at about 1:40 a.m. Apparently, the crash happened just east of College Avenue in the westbound lanes of the roadway. Initial reports indicate that a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck another vehicle. The vehicle that was hit went careening towards an apartment complex on Waite Drive.

That vehicle overturned and landed against a tree in a vertical position. Emergency responders had to rescue three women who were trapped in the vehicle. The car that caused the wreck crashed into a nearby bush, and two people got out and fled on foot. This wreck is likely still under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
