Over the weekend, a six-year-old boy was injured in a crash in the Chollas View area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon on Market Street. Apparently, a Toyota Yaris was leaving the northbound side of Interstate 805, when the driver was unable to slow down enough to safely navigate the roadway. The Yaris struck a signal post in the center median.  

The child was in the back seat of the vehicle and suffered from a fracture to his right thigh. No other injuries were reported on the scene. Additionally, there has been no word on whether or not the driver is facing any citations. This injury crash may still be under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
