Earlier this week, a California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer was injured in a multi-vehicle crash in West Covina. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened sometime before 2:00 p.m. on the 10 Freeway, near Barranca Street. Apparently, an SUV crashed into the back of the CHP officer’s vehicle. The CHP vehicle then crashed into the vehicle in front of it.  

First responders rushed to the scene, and the CHP officer had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. No information has been released on that person’s current condition or on the extent of injuries involved. The SUV’s driver also reportedly sustained injuries during the crash, and a portion of the roadway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene.
