Over the weekend, at least seven people were arrested and 54 citations were issued in connection with illegal street racing in the San Fernando Valley. According to KTLA News Channel Five, law enforcement officers were called out after a series of illegal street race takeovers, sideshows and roll races were going on in the CHP’s West Valley division.

Arrests were made for a variety of offenses including DUI, racing, illegal possession of a firearm and impersonating law enforcement. Additionally, 54 citations were also issued to drivers, some who were driving in excess of 100 miles per hour. Also, 10 vehicles were impounded, and 20 others were inspected. Thankfully, no serious injury crashes were reported in association with these street races.
