Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are still looking for the driver involved in a hit and run that happened in downtown L.A. recently According to KTLA News Channel Five, on August 14th, 30-year-old Miguel Velazquez was stopped at a red light on 3rd Street at Flower Street, when a blue Mini Cooper struck the back of his moped at a high rate of speed.  

Velazquez was ejected from the vehicle and sustained multiple injuries. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment of injuries including a broken wrist. Law enforcement officers are looking for a blue Mini Cooper with a panoramic sunroof and front end damage. Surveillance footage shows a Toyota Prius followed the Mini Cooper in an apparent effort to get it to stop. Police are hoping to get into contact with that witness.
