Last week, a cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash in Point Loma. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident was caught on surveillance video. Apparently, the cyclist was about a half hour into his ride and headed west on Ladera Street, when a vehicle cut in front of him without signaling. The car made a turn right in front of him and he slammed into the vehicle.

On the surveillance video, you can see the car briefly stopped before speeding off from the area. The bicycle rider wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was knocked unconscious. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including road rash, bruising and lacerations requiring stitches.
