On Monday afternoon in San Jose, a motorist was killed after colliding with a box truck on Montague Expressway. The crash occurred around 1:50 pm on the expressway near O’Toole Avenue and the Interstate 880 offramp, according to The Mercury News. A man driving a gray 2001 Ford sedan was traveling westbound on Montague when he veered left, hitting the rear of a 2024 Freightliner box truck that was stopped at O’Toole Avenue in a left-turn lane.

The Ford driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other sustained serious injuries. KRON 4 News stated that traffic was slowed in the area for several hours due to lane closures.
