Over the weekend, a suspected drunk driver crashed into a Santa Ana police car. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened at about 11:00 p.m. on Saturday night. Initial reports indicate that the dark-colored Chevrolet SUV struck the patrol car on the 500 block of West Civic Drive. Apparently, there were several children in the SUV at the time of the crash. 

Everybody involved in the crash reportedly suffered from injuries, and some were evaluated and treated on the scene. Thankfully, none of the injuries were described as life-threatening on the scene. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. At the time of the news report, there was no word on what the exact relationship between the driver and the children was. This wreck may still be under investigation.
