Over the weekend, there was a DUI injury crash in the Midway District. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. Initial reports indicate that a man was asleep in the backseat of his parked car when a suspected drunk driver crashed into his vehicle. The driver, a 36-year-old woman in a Dodge Magnum, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she rear-ended the parked car.  

She initially fled the scene, but was apprehended a short distance away. The man who was in the parked car was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including an open fracture to his leg. At the time of the report, alcohol was thought to be a factor in this crash.
