Last weekend, there was an injury crash involving a pedestrian and an e-bike in the Del Mar Heights area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Friday evening on the 13800 block of Mango Drive. Initial reports indicate that an elderly pedestrian was headed eastbound when an e-bike rider struck him. Apparently, there wasn’t a light on the e-bike, and it may have been traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.

The e-bike rider reportedly sustained fractures and a brain bleed, and the pedestrian also suffered from similar injuries. At this time, law enforcement officials are asking any witnesses to come forward with information, as the incident is still under investigation.
