Over the weekend, there was a fatal crash in the Midway District. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened on Saturday night on the 2900 block of Sports Arena Boulevard. Apparently, a Toyota Tacoma was speeding down Sports Arena Boulevard when his vehicle hit a raised median, went airborne and hit a Toyota Sienna minivan. The minivan was stopped at a red light when it was struck.  

Sadly, two of the four family members in the minivan were killed in the crash. An 81-year-old grandmother and a 23-year-old grandson did not survive their injuries. The other two family members were rushed to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Tacoma was reportedly driving without a license. That person was booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
